Case Study: Evergreen Youth & Family Services
Time Period: May 2009–June 2012
Lead and manage a new multi-million dollar complex project involving a housing phase to collocate clients with on-site case managers, as well as development of potential commercial space. As a non-profit, Evergreen had to raise the financial resources for this project.*
Evergreen hired Paul Diehl and Diehl Project Management to provide leadership, momentum and consistency for the multifaceted project.Paul assisted in obtaining site control, developing budget projections, hiring a financial development consulting firm, issuing an RFP, evaluating and rating responses, hiring an architectural/engineering firm, and developing an overall project schedule.
*Due to a difficult funding environment at the time, Evergreen decided to pursue a less risky solution to their vision of collocating Evergreen housing with on-site case managers by renting space in a build-to-suit building designed and built by a private developer. Paul continued to serve on Evergreen's Building Committee in a non-paying role to help assure the build-to-suit project was successfully completed.
